Welcome to Southern Cross Feeds

Southern Cross Feeds was established in 2001 to cater for the increase in demand for quality chaff and grains for Mornington Stock Feeds whom supply’s a majority of the equine industry in and around the Mornington Peninsula and the metropolitan thoroughbred training facilities. Southern Cross Feeds chaff and grain products are widely available to stores through our network of distributors in Victoria.

In 2006 the retail side of Southern Cross Feeds was sold to concentrate of the manufacture of quality feeds for the equine industry.  Southern Cross Feeds theory was to be able to supply a complete range of feeds for horses from chaff, to raw, cracked and “Super Flaked” processed grains.

Southern Cross Feeds has installed a state of the art equine only mill, which encompasses a  “Super Flaker” which cooks grains longer than other cooking processes to dramatically increase the starch digestibility in the equine digestive tract.
